東京工学院専門学校にて教授と留学生35人が英語で書道体験

小金井市こがねいしにある東京工学院とうきょうこうがくいん専門学校せんもんがっこうと東京とうきょうエアトラベル・ホテル専門学校せんもんがっこうよりアメリカ、イギリス、ニュージーランド、台湾たいわんからの教授きょうじゅと留学生りゅうがくせい35名めいにインターナショナルウィークでの日本文化体験にほんぶんかたいけんとして書道しょどうを教おしえてほしいとの依頼いらいを受け、6月がつ11日にちに書道体験しょどうたいけんをしていただきに参まいりました。
私わたしの弟子でし4人にんと、私わたしが設立せつりつし代表だいひょうを務つとめる小金井こがねい女性じょせい英会話えいかいわサークルのメンバーで書道講師しょどうこうしの方かたとチームを組くみました。
手分てわけをして、テーマの　つなぐ、平和へいわ、友とも、愛あいなど、読よみ方かたと意味いみの英語えいご付つき手本てほんを半紙はんしに書かいて裏打うらうちして持もっていきました。
漢字かんじ、ひらがなとカタカナの説明せつめいもしました。
横線よこせんと縦線たてせん、永えいの基本運筆練習きほんうんぴつれんしゅうをしてから　書かきたい字じを練習れんしゅうしていただきました。
日本人にほんじんのように、うまく書かけなくて悔くやしいと思おもってらっしゃる方かたも、色紙しきしでは大体だいたい満足まんぞくしていらっしゃいました。色紙しきしを2枚まい書かいた後あとで、Zenbrush2 のアプリのタブレットでも同おなじ字じを書かいて、iPhoneの方かたはAirDropでご自身じしんの携帯けいたいに移うつして喜よろんでいらっしゃいました。
生徒せいとさんで日本語にほんごを知しっていらっしゃる方かたもいらっしゃるため、全員ぜんいん通訳つうやくなしで指導しどうができました。

I was asked by TOKYO　KOGAKUIN　COLLEGE　OF　TECHNOLOGY and TOKYO　AIR　TRAVEL　HOTEL　COLLEGE to to take 35 professors and students from the USA, UK, New Zealand, and Taiwan to experience calligraphy on June 11 during their International Week. Members of the Koganei Women’s Eikaiwa group I lead joined together with 4 of my calligraphy students to become calligraphy teachers in English.
We wrote models of words that went with the theme, such as つなぐ (connect), 平和 (peace), 友 (friend), and 愛 (love), along with their Japanese readings and English translations. We asked them to make ink and explained about kanji, hiragana, and katakana. Then, we taught them the fundamental strokes and they practiced the words of their choice.
After writing their works on Shikishi boards, we asked them to write the same words on tablets using an app called Zen Brush2 on Apple devices. After choosing the background, they enjoyed writing their own calligraphy. Writing with an Apple Pencil is easier than a brush for them. Then they airdropped them to their iPhones or took a photo of what they wrote.
We’re happy that they were able to physically experience Japanese culture in both a traditional and modern way.
