Sam and Shalini wrote “Iroha”, an ancient Japanese poem.

Sam from America and Shalini from India who both come to my classroom to learn calligraphy regularly wrote “Iroha.”

Iroha Uta いろは歌

It is interesting once you know the meaning clearly.
Normally foreign names are written in katakana, but I had them write their names in hiragana for practice while they are learning it.

みなさん こんばんは。
昨日さくじつ定期的ていきてきかよってきているアメリカじんのサムと、インドじんのシャリニが、いろはを練習れんしゅうしました。
名前なまえ特別とくべつにひらがなにしました。
いろはも調しらべたら奥深おくぶかいです。
