The second student was Sam, who takes my calligraphy class regularly. He wrote 無我夢中 ‘mugamuchu’ meaning ‘losing oneself in something.’

It was good to practice calligraphy for the first time in a while. Even in tablet format where you can undo your mistakes, it takes a lot of focus and intent in order to write something you’re satisfied with, so it always feels fulfilling to do.

久ひさしぶりに書道しょどうを練習れんしゅうできてよかったです。
たとえタブレットの形かたちでも、書かき直なおしが簡単かんたんでも、満足まんぞくする作品さくひんを作つくるのには集中力しゅうちゅうりょくと意志いしが必要ひつようです。だからとても充実感じゅうじつかんが味あじわえます。
