Would you like to experience calligraphy at a Zen Buddhist temple?
Join us on January 2nd at 12:45 in front of the main temple of Sankouin, Rinzai Zen Buddhist temple in Koganei.
What you will experience:

Calligrapher Hoyu
Sakuma will write ‘Eho’.
Writing ‘Eho’ at the beginning of the year is a Zen practice of orienting oneself toward clarity, steadiness, and right direction.
Next with a large brush, Hoyū gives form to the zodiac horse through calligraphy, while sumi-e artist Teisetsu Koyama brings the horse to life in ink.
Afterwards, there will be a sekigaki (writing impromptu) session for all participants.
You may write one sheet of the zodiac horse using a large brush together with Hoyū, or you may choose to write on your own.
Please feel free to invite friends and acquaintances, including those from overseas.

吉書始めと席書のお知らせ

1月2日の12時45分より三光院の本堂の前(いなげや小金井本町店の駐車場の奥)で、書道師範　佐久間甫祐は、大筆で、恵方の南南東と、干支の「馬」と書く予定です。
その後水墨画家の小山汀雪さんが馬の絵を描きます。
それを見学していただいた後に、お子さんは私と一緒に筆を持って、馬の楷書を1枚書くことができます。
大人の方が参加してくださる場合は、馬の行書でも草書でも、1枚をお一人でご自由にお書きになっても、私と一緒に筆を持って書いてくださってもどちらでもいいです。
学生500円、
大人1000円
大きい筆で書く体験ができますので、奮ってご参加ください。
